Day 1:
Upon arrival at Amman Airport you will
be met by one of our representatives who will
assist you through customs and transfer to
your hotel in Amman for overnight.
Day 2:
Check out after breakfast buffet, drive
south to Mt. Nebo where Moses said to view
the promised land, visit the monastery over
looking the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea,
Jericho and Jerusalem. Continue on to Madaba
and visit the famous 6th. Century mosaic map
of Palestine on the floors of St. George
Orthodox Church. Then drive the Kings Highway
and stopping at Wadi Mujib for a photo
opportunity and arrive Kerak the ancient
biblical capital of the Moabites where a castle
was built by the Crusaders King Baldwin the
First of Jerusalem in the 12th. Century.
Continue on to Petra and overnight. (B/L)
Day 3:
Today you will enjoy a full day tour of
the Rose Red City, Petra was established by
the Nabataean Arab in the 6th. Century BC,
they settled in the area and extended their
commercial empire into Syria. Attempts by
several Roman Emperors failed to bring the
kingdom to under the Roman ruling until
100AD, but soon withdrew returning it back
to the locals. In the 19th. Century Petra was
re-discovered by the Swiss Explorer Johann
Ludwig Burkhardt. You will be giving a tour by
the local guide visiting the Treasury, the
Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal Arch, the
Amphitheatre and the Monastery. Return
back to the hotel and overnight. (B/L)
Day 4:
Check out and transfer to Amman
Airport for departure. (B)
